In 1998, Dr. Kommineni Nageswari Rao opened Sri Swetha Multispeciality Daycare Surgical Centre in Himayat Nagar, Hyderabad, naming it after her daughter Sriswetha as a symbol of the nurturing, family-like care she wanted every patient to experience.
What began as a personal mission has grown into one of Hyderabad’s most trusted women’s health centre, serving thousands of women across every stage of life, from adolescence through pregnancy, motherhood, and menopause.
At 59, Dr. Nageswari Rao continues to pursue new knowledge, currently undergoing advanced training in Functional Medicine, a testament to her lifelong commitment to staying at the forefront of women’s health.

As a Trustee of Sphoorthi Kutumbham, she has personally organised and led over 1,000 free medical camps in the rural outskirts of Hyderabad, bringing free consultations, medicines, and essential healthcare to thousands of women who would otherwise go without.
